Overall this was a good book but you need to have a lot of patience. It took a long time for the book to get interesting. Once it got interesting it was a very good book.
Now I'm reading Dracula and will finish that today. When I finish that I have to get another book. I will have another report about Dracula in a few days. Until then, bye from Gabe.
Well you're way ahead of me. I didn't read Moby Dick until my second year of college. Great book. Very important symbolically, of course, but some crazy characters and amazing quotes, especially from Ahab: "Don't speak to me of blasphemy man, I'd strike the sun if it insulted me." What a grouch! Guess that's what happens when part of you was whale food.
ReplyDeleteNot many students will ever summon the courage or self-discipline to read "the classics", especially while in elementary school, so I'm proud of you for doing it. Too bad about Queequeg, eh. I liked him. Another great quote: "a sober cannibal is better than a drunken Christian."
So, can I call you Ishmael?
Hi Gabe, this is Tristan. Tristan wants to have a bonfire with you when you come up. Dorothy wants to have a water balloon fight.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon,
Tristan
